The iPhone 3G is released on Friday July 11th, and many Apple and AT&T stores will be opening early to allow early adopters to get their hands on the updated device, dubbed iPhone 2 by many. But 8am isn’t early enough for some, and queues are already forming outside the New York Apple Cube.

Roku, a company stationed in Saratoga, California, recently created a set-top box capable of competing with the AppleTV at $129 less. The Netflix player gives Netflix ultimate subscribers the ability to stream Netflix movies to their TV directly from the internet with no computer middle-man. Plus, according to Tim Twerdalh, vice president of Roku, this is only the beginning.

Google Street View has been a somewhat controversial tool ever since it was first introduced this time last year. But so far, only people in America have had to worry about their rights to privacy being violated. Now though, Europe is also being targeted for inclusion, and while towns in France and Italy have been added to the database with no problems, Google has hit a snag in the UK.

With the imminent release of MobileMe Apple has sent out an alert to all .Mac subscribers, they need to sync their bookmarks on all machines before Sunday, June 6, 2008. Why? Access to bookmarks will be discontinued after that date.
